Ogun Governor Abiodun Distributes 40 SUVs to Monarchs

On Thursday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun presented 40 SUVs to traditional rulers during a statutory meeting of the Ogun State Council of Obas held at the Obas' complex in Abeokuta. The governor urged the traditional rulers to foster an investor-friendly environment in their domains, highlighting the importance of welcoming investors to enhance the state's economic growth.

He condemned reports of uncooperative attitudes from communities, particularly in Yewa South, Ipokia, and Ijebu North, which he described as hostile towards investors. Abiodun emphasized that such behavior could undermine the state's economic development, which he aims to boost with billions of dollars in investments.

He noted that the community ownership of development initiatives is crucial and expressed concern over reports of unacceptable conduct during recent investor engagements, which could deter significant capital inflow necessary for job creation and improving livelihoods.
