Gift Orban Shines with Goal and Assist in Amedspor Win

On September 20, Gift Orban showcased an outstanding performance in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring a stunning long-range goal and providing an assist as Amedspor defeated Besiktas 3-2. Orban opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a powerful shot from approximately 25 meters.

He then assisted Dia Saba nine minutes later, extending Amedspor's lead before halftime. Besiktas's Dusan Vlahovic scored early in the second half, but Amedspor's Furkan Soyalp quickly restored a two-goal advantage.

The match saw Besiktas reduced to ten men after Amadou Cisse received a red card, allowing Orkun Kökçü to convert a late penalty for Besiktas, but Amedspor held on for the win. This victory propelled Amedspor to the top of the league table.

Despite Orban's impressive form, with seven goals and two assists in six appearances this season, he was not included in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
