Governor Sani Highlights ABU's Role in Kaduna's Growth

During the 2026 annual Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) alumni gathering held at the Sardauna Foundation in Kaduna, Governor Uba Sani, represented by the Deputy Governor, affirmed that ABU is a strategic asset for both Kaduna State and Nigeria. He noted the university's significant contributions to human capital development, research, innovation, and economic activities, which have bolstered the state's national and international reputation.

The Governor mentioned the state government's investments in infrastructure, including access roads, to support the university's growth. Engineer Abubakar Gambo Umar, Chairman of the Kaduna State Branch of the Alumni Association, stated that the annual event serves to strengthen alumni bonds and their commitment to ABU's development.

Mallam Adamu Mamman Kontagora, President of the ABU Alumni Association Worldwide, praised the Kaduna State Government for its substantial interventions in the university's infrastructure. Professor Adamu Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of ABU, recognized this as the largest state government intervention in the university in the last forty years, reflecting a strong commitment to educational advancement.
