Uba Sani Enhances Kaduna's Basic Education Infrastructure

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, represented by Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Balarabe, commissioned Basic Education Schools Infrastructure and Educational Interventions across the 23 local governments. The event took place at Sultan Bello Primary School in Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna North.

Uba Sani stressed the critical role of primary education in laying foundational skills such as reading, writing, and reasoning. His administration has constructed or rehabilitated 3,267 classrooms, built 2,232 toilet facilities, and sunk 180 hand-pump boreholes to improve hygiene and access to clean water.

Additionally, 87 science laboratories and 29 computer centers were established to equip students with necessary skills. The governor noted that 33,137 teachers and school support staff received training in various educational areas.

The initiative also includes the establishment of four Bilingual Education Schools in partnership with UBEC and the Islamic Development Bank, aimed at accommodating 7,680 out-of-school children. The administration has distributed over 545,000 teaching materials to enhance learning.
