ABU Road Reconstruction Project Surpasses Expectations

The Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Adamu Ahm, announced that the ongoing reconstruction of internal roads at the university has exceeded expectations.

This project, a significant infrastructure intervention by the Kaduna State Government, marks the first of its kind in over 40 years. During an inspection on Saturday, Prof.

Ahm commended Governor Uba Sani for extending this intervention without a formal request. He noted that the quality of work has surpassed expectations, with the university's engineering department directly supervising the project to ensure compliance with engineering standards.

The Kaduna State Government has initiated 150 road projects covering approximately 1,345 kilometers across the state's 23 local government areas. Dr.

Abdullahi Baba Ahm, Managing Director of the Kaduna State Road Agency, described the reconstruction as a landmark intervention. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August or early September, despite challenges posed by the rainy season.

Students and staff have praised the development, which aims to address long-standing issues with road conditions on campus.
