Nigerian Port Authority Director Emphasizes Abuja's Role in Non-Oil Exports

Abubakar Dantsoho, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), emphasized Abuja's significance in Nigeria's non-oil export sector at the Abuja International Trade Fair. He discussed the strategic advantage of Abuja's location in connecting the central region to international markets, supporting the government's efforts to boost non-oil revenue.

The NPA plans to establish an export processing terminal to streamline export processes and enhance competitiveness. Dantsoho also mentioned digitizing port operations to improve efficiency and transparency, aiming to launch the initiative by the first quarter of 2026.
