AMAC Launches Waste Evacuation in Kagini Community

The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) commenced a waste evacuation exercise in Kagini community as part of efforts to restore sanitation and improve environmental hygiene. The initiative was flagged off on a Monday by the Executive Chairman, Hon.

Christoph Zakka Maikalangu, who was accompanied by the Supervisory Councillor for Environment, Hon. Hashimu Angama.

Hon. Angama described the cleanup as the first step in a broader sanitation drive across AMAC, reaffirming the council's commitment to creating a cleaner and healthier living environment for residents.

He stressed that the administration would enforce strict compliance with waste management laws and declared a zero-tolerance policy towards indiscriminate dumping that endangers public health. Hon.

Angama further urged community leaders to support the initiative by ensuring proper waste disposal and reporting any violations to the relevant AMAC authorities.
