Abuja Court Finalizes Forfeiture of UK Property Linked to Useni

An Abuja court has issued a final forfeiture order for a property located at 79 Randal Avenue, Neasden, London, linked to former Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Useni and senior advocate Ozekhome. The court's decision was based on suspicions that the property was acquired through unlawful activities.

The ruling followed a motion for final forfeiture, with no parties contesting the earlier interim forfeiture order. The court, presided over by Justice Nyako, found that the property was acquired under fictitious circumstances, as the purported current owner, Tali Shani, does not exist.

The Bureau's analysis of Useni's declared earnings revealed significant discrepancies, indicating that the asset was not lawfully acquired. Consequently, the court ruled for the permanent transfer of the property to the Federal Government.
