FG to Restore Abuja-Kaduna Rail Line in 10 Days After Derailment

The Federal Government announced the restoration of the Abuja-Kaduna rail line within 10 days following a recent derailment. Minister of Transportation, Saidu Alkali, inspected the accident site and commended the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) for their swift response.

The restoration efforts involve repairing a 150-meter stretch of damaged track. An investigation team, including engineers from the Ministry of Transportation, NRC, and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), is working to determine the cause of the derailment.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the support received and assured that the rail line will be operational within the specified timeframe.
