NRC Announces Easter Train Schedule for Abuja-Kaduna Route

The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced its trip schedule for the Easter period on the Abuja-Kaduna route. The service will operate two trips on Thursdays and three daily trips from Friday to Monday, covering morning and midday departures.

The NRC confirmed that operations will run without disruption, and the Warri-Itakpe line will continue to operate six days a week, with trains departing at 8:00 AM on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Return journeys from Itakpe to Warri will occur at 12:00 noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

The eastern corridor service from Port Harcourt to Aba will maintain its regular schedule, departing Port Harcourt at 8:00 AM and Aba at 3:00 PM. Additionally, extra trips on the Lagos-Ibadan corridor will be introduced to manage the seasonal spike in passenger traffic, with departures scheduled at 7:45 AM, 1:40 PM, and 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026.

Special narrow gauge services funded by the Osun State government will operate at no cost to passengers, departing Iddo Station in Lagos for Osogbo on April 3 and returning on April 6.
