Wike Announces Revamp of Life Camp Recreation Park

On Monday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), announced plans to transform the neglected Life Camp Recreation Park at the Life Camp roundabout into a modern leisure and sporting facility. This project is part of the FCTA's broader initiative to expand recreational infrastructure for Abuja residents.

The announcement follows the successful remodeling of the Abuja City Gate, which has become a significant attraction since its commissioning during the celebrations for President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary in office. The FCTA recently received commendation from Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, for its contributions to the Renewed Hope Initiative’s Green Nigeria Challenge.

Wike stated that this recognition has motivated the administration to invest further in green and recreational spaces throughout the capital. He emphasized that the transformation of the Abuja City Gate illustrates the importance of investing in public spaces.
