Wike Transforms Abuja's Road Network in Major Initiative

Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, serving as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has spearheaded a transformative initiative to enhance the road network in Abuja since 2023. This initiative addresses the city's longstanding infrastructural challenges, which had persisted for years.

Wike's approach has involved rehabilitating and reconstructing existing roads and opening new ones, significantly improving traffic flow and accessibility. The developments include the construction of double-lane overhead bridges and the restoration of previously abandoned roads, such as the dual carriageway along Arab Road in Kubwa.

These changes have been welcomed by motorists and have contributed to a more organized urban environment. Wike's tenure as Minister has been marked by a commitment to infrastructure, reflecting his background as a former Governor of Rivers State from 2015 to 2023.
