FCT Youths Criticize Wike Over Abuja Safety Comments

The Abuja Youth Forum criticized Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for labeling Abuja as the safest city in Nigeria, highlighting recent security incidents in the capital. The group, led by Comrade Ayuba Danladi, pointed out cases like the killing of Dr. Ifeanyi Ogbu and the abduction of his children, as well as the murder of Somtochukwu Maduagwu, an Arise News anchor.

The forum emphasized a surge in robbery, carjacking, and vandalism of critical infrastructure in Abuja, contradicting Wike's statement. They argued that the reality of rising insecurity in Abuja is causing fear among residents, challenging the government's security efforts.
