AC Milan has officially dismissed head coach Massimiliano Allegri after the club's failure to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive season. This decision followed a 2-1 defeat to Cagliari Calcio on the final day of the Serie A season, which saw the team drop from third to fifth place.

The announcement was made in a statement on Monday by owner RedBird Capital Partners, who described the campaign as a failure despite a promising start. The club's performance was marred by inconsistency, with seven defeats in the last 14 league matches, which ultimately hindered their chances of competing for the Scudetto.

Alongside Allegri's dismissal, a comprehensive restructuring of the club's football operations is underway, affecting key positions including Chief Executive Giorgio Furlani, Sport Director Igli Tare, and Technical Director Geoffrei Moncada.
