Access Holdings Plc filed a corporate action notice on October 31, 2026, disclosing two senior executive appointments at Access Bank Plc, its principal banking subsidiary, both approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Mr. Oluseyi Kumapayi has been elevated from Executive Director, African Subsidiaries, to Deputy Managing Director, African Subsidiaries. He joined Access Bank in 2002 and served as Group Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2020 before taking on the African Subsidiaries executive role in November 2020. In his new capacity, he retains oversight of the African subsidiaries and will also support the Managing Director in the broader leadership of the Bank.
Mr. Olanrewaju Bamisebi joins Access Bank's board as Executive Director, Information Technology and Digitalisation. He moves from the same role at Access Holdings, where he held group-level responsibility for technology strategy and shared services. Prior to Access Holdings, he held senior technology roles at Equity Group Holdings and Diamond Bank, among other institutions.
The filing states that the decision to relocate technology executive leadership from Access Holdings to Access Bank reflects the Group's intent to integrate technology transformation more closely with banking operations. The appointments are described as part of the Group's stated transition from scale to value.
