Accord Party Names Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as Candidate

The Accord Party has officially selected Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections following a successful primary election conducted across multiple states. Olawepo-Hashim secured a total of 423,902 votes, as announced by Yahaya Moham, who oversaw the primary.

The election was characterized by a peaceful and transparent process, reflecting the confidence of party members in Olawepo-Hashim's leadership vision for Nigeria. The primary saw a massive turnout, with Olawepo-Hashim being the sole aspirant, thus running unopposed.

The highest votes were recorded in Jigawa State with 198,200 votes, followed by Kano State with 124,101 votes, and Nasarawa State with 47,309 votes. The outcome underscores the growing support for Olawepo-Hashim within the party as it prepares for the upcoming elections, positioning him as a potential unifying figure capable of addressing Nigeria's socio-economic challenges.
