Accord Candidate Dr. Hashim Advocates Strong Political Support

Dr. Gbenga Olawepo Hashim, the Accord Party's presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, declared that Nigeria can effectively tackle its challenges if it receives strong political backing.

Speaking in Abuja, he referenced a recent successful operation that rescued victims of abduction in Oyo State, highlighting the capability of the country's security forces to defeat criminal gangs when provided with consistent political support. Hashim pointed out that Nigeria's security challenges are exacerbated by a lack of clarity and unwavering political leadership.

He praised the Nigerian military's distinguished record in international peacekeeping missions, particularly in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Hashim proposed a coordinated nationwide campaign against kidnapping and violent crime, urging the federal government to provide sustained strategic direction and stronger political support for national security agencies.

He commended the Nigerian Armed Forces and police for their courage and professionalism, describing their successful operations as a major boost to public confidence in Nigeria's security institutions.
