Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim Named Accord Presidential Candidate

Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has emerged as the Accord Party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections following a successful primary conducted across several states. The party announced that Olawepo-Hashim secured a total of 423,902 votes, with the primary characterized as peaceful and transparent, reflecting the confidence of party members in his leadership vision for Nigeria.

The primary saw a massive turnout of party members, and although Olawepo-Hashim was the sole aspirant, the process was conducted in accordance with party guidelines, allowing for a formal endorsement of his candidacy. Yahaya Moham, who oversaw the primary, reported that Jigawa State recorded the highest votes at 198,200, followed by Kano State with 124,101 votes, Nasarawa State with 47,309 votes, Kebbi State with 46,852 votes, Kwara State with 3,348 votes, and Lagos State with 4,548 votes.

The party expressed optimism that Olawepo-Hashim's candidacy would provide a credible alternative for Nigerians in the upcoming elections.
