ACF Board Rejects Suspension of Chairman Bashir Dalhatu

The Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has rejected the suspension of its Chairman, Bashir Dalhatu, describing the action as illegitimate and reckless. The Board stated that the suspension was the result of a power struggle within the organization, instigated by a disgruntled minority.

Prominent northern leaders, including former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu and former governors Ibrahim Shekarau, Kabiru Gaya, Saminu Turaki, Umar Al-Makura, and others, endorsed the Board's statement. The Board emphasized that the action taken against Dalhatu lacked constitutional backing and was an attempt to undermine the forum's foundation.

They also announced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suspension, which they deemed treacherous and aimed at discrediting the forum. The Board reaffirmed their confidence in Dalhatu and vowed to restore order and discipline within the organization, rejecting claims of a leadership crisis.
