EFCC Calls for Enhanced Cooperation Against Corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), under the leadership of Chairman Ola Olukoyede, has called for stronger inter-agency cooperation among Nigeria's law enforcement and security agencies to effectively tackle corruption and financial crimes. This call was made during a work visit to senior officials of the EFCC's Kaduna zonal command, which included representatives from eight security agencies in Niger State.

These agencies included the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Department of State Services (DSS), and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Olukoyede stressed that no single agency can successfully combat corruption alone and highlighted the importance of collaboration for intelligence sharing and joint operations.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the EFCC to strengthen inter-agency collaboration in the ongoing fight against corruption and financial crime, which he described as a common national threat requiring collective action.
