EFCC Commends Upright Nigerians, Investigates Pastor Ez

On April 29, 2026, Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stated that the commission not only investigates and prosecutes fraudsters but also recognizes and commends upright Nigerians. This disclosure was made during a business grant award ceremony convened by Jerri Ez, the founder of Stream Join International.

Olukoyede narrated the investigation into Pastor Jerri Ez, which lasted six months, ultimately finding no involvement in financial crimes or money laundering. He aimed to inform Nigerians that the EFCC appreciates those who uphold anti-corruption values.

Additionally, he warned religious leaders against corrupt practices and stressed that integrity should be the watchword for all religions. The event also supported 240 small-scale business owners with grants of $3,000.

Olukoyede acknowledged President Bola Tinubu for allowing the EFCC to release N100 billion recovered from the Nigerian education loan fund and emphasized the importance of empowering youth in technology and combating cybercrime.
