Super Eagles Legends to Face African Legends at ACFTA Fest 2026 in Abuja

The ACFTA Fest 2026 will feature a match between Super Eagles legends like Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, Joseph Yobo, Daniel Amokachi, and Mutiu Adepoju against African legends at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on February 26th and 28th. The event aims to empower 1.5 million African youth in entrepreneurship, art, and sport, as well as facilitate a $5 billion trade deal partnership to strengthen the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA).

Eyong Enong, a former Cameroonian international, emphasized the importance of promoting African culture and empowering grassroots initiatives. Aisha Abdulahi, Vice President of Legal at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), highlighted the festival's vision to promote trade, innovation, and cultural collaboration across the continent, fostering intra-African trade and business opportunities, especially for MSMEs.

The event is seen as a platform for mentorship, coaching, and dialogue on sports diplomacy to inspire the next generation.
