ACFTA Fest 2026 Press Conference Held in Lagos

The ACFTA Fest 2026 held a press conference in Lagos on February 3, 2026, to announce its inaugural African Connect Trade, Talent, and Culture Festival. Scheduled for March 26-28, 2026, in Abuja, the festival aims to empower 1.5 million youth through entrepreneurship in arts and sports while facilitating a $5 billion trade deal across the continent.

Mandi Anyangw, the project lead, emphasized the festival's role in strengthening intra-African trade and promoting awareness of the African Continental Free Trade Area at the grassroots level. Eyong Enoh, a football legend, described the festival as a platform to foster unity and inclusivity across Africa.

Desmond Elliot, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, praised the festival for promoting African heritage and called for collaborative action to create an enabling environment. The festival will showcase business, art, culture, and trade opportunities, connecting entrepreneurs and investors through various ticket options for access to concerts, exhibits, and workshops.
