Jimoh Olayemi Reveals Health Crisis After Film Role

Jimoh Olayemi, a Yoruba-language actor popularly known as Yemkem, shared a distressing health ordeal that he attributes to a role in the film "Jogodi," where his character suffers a stroke. After returning from a shoot in Itoko, Abeokuta, he noticed alarming changes in his body the same night.

Concerned friends urged him to seek medical attention, leading to a consultation where a doctor advised him to reduce body fat and prescribed medication, costing him N450,000. Yemkem initially kept his illness private but opened up after his condition worsened.

At his lowest, he sold his car to fund treatment and sought traditional medicine, including incisions with cobra teeth. Despite receiving support from fellow actors during this challenging time, he continues to experience pain in his hands and legs.

Additionally, he faces financial difficulties, including pressure from the landlord's children to vacate his residence following the landlord's death. Yemkem's struggles have been compounded by everyday challenges, including a recent argument with a motorcyclist that left him in tears.
