Kemity Denies Sex-for-Roles Allegations in Nollywood

Nollywood actress Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, publicly denied allegations that she engaged in sexual favors to secure roles in the Nigerian film industry. In a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, she reflected on her professional journey and responded to claims regarding her rise to fame.

Kemity stated that she has never engaged in inappropriate relationships to obtain acting opportunities, stressing that her achievements are a result of dedication, persistence, and faith. She mentioned that she owns two wine shops and works as a receptionist at a hotel in Ayobo.

Kemity explained that financial pressures during film productions led her to expand her skills in makeup artistry, eventually returning to acting. She described her growth in the industry as gradual and emphasized that nothing comes freely.

As a mother of two daughters, she remains committed to raising her children with dignity and strong values, refusing to compromise her integrity for professional advancement. Kemity highlighted her disciplined upbringing and past support for film productions that provided good messages, encouraging aspiring actresses to pursue success through talent, discipline, and hard work rather than shortcuts.
