Adamawa Commissioners Defect to APC, Support Fintiri

On Friday, twenty-two commissioners and special advisers in Adamawa State announced their defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision was made public by Allouci Babadok, a member of the state executive council, who emphasized their total loyalty and commitment to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's administration.

Babadok stated that the move aligns with the governor's political decisions and aims to enhance the representation of the state's interests at the national level. Jame Iliya, another commissioner, expressed readiness to mobilize support across the state for the APC.

The decision followed extensive consultations with stakeholders, including community leaders and youth groups, as stated by Bala Jada, the chairman of the forum of special advisers. Jada noted that the decision was not born out of animosity but was a forward-looking step reflecting the consultations held.

The defectors pledged to enhance grassroots mobilization for APC membership.
