Adamawa Government Urges Residents to Wear Nose Masks Amid Rising Air Pollution

The Adamawa State Government is urging residents to wear face masks as a precautionary measure against increasing air pollution levels. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's administration issued the advisory due to the current high levels of air pollution in the state, particularly during the harmattan season.

The government warns that exposure to polluted air may lead to breathing difficulties, reduced lung function, and respiratory infections. Residents are advised to wear nose masks, limit outdoor activities, drink plenty of clean water, and take special care of children and the elderly with respiratory conditions.
