Adamawa PDP Vows To Challenge Ganye By-Election In Court

The Adamawa State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to challenge the recent Ganye by-election in court. PDP Chairman, Tahir, accused top security officials of aiding the All Progressives Congress (APC) in manipulating the election process.

He specifically pointed fingers at Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Taiwo Adeleke for providing protective cover to the APC during the polls. Tahir warned that failing to overturn the election result in court could put Nigeria's democracy in jeopardy.

The PDP also raised concerns about the manipulation of public wealth in the past. Meanwhile, the Adamawa State APC spokesperson, Mohammed Abdullahi, dismissed the PDP's claims and praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a credible election.

It was also reported that a box labeled INEC was found in a vehicle belonging to a Salisu, a heavyweight in the APC, who was staying at the private residence of former Vice President Atiku Abub.
