Adaora Umeoji Leads Zenith Bank to Record Financial Growth

Adaora Umeoji is the current Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank PLC, having assumed office in June 2024 as the first female CEO in the bank's illustrious history. Under her leadership, Zenith Bank has demonstrated remarkable financial growth, with a reported 86% increase in gross earnings driven by a 138% surge in interest income.

The bank's profit before tax reached 1.3 trillion Naira, surpassing the 1 trillion Naira mark, reflecting a 52.5% year-on-year increase. Total assets grew approximately 47% to 30 trillion Naira, while customer deposits rose to 22 trillion Naira, indicating deepened trust among customers.

In the first quarter of 2025, Zenith Bank reported a profit of 194.4 million USD, with total assets climbing past 20 billion USD. Umeoji has also expanded the bank's international presence, enhancing cross-border trade relationships and solidifying its influence in the global financial market.
