ADC Accuses APC of Plotting to Install Party Chair

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is attempting to manipulate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to install Mr. Nafiu Bala as the party chairman.

This claim was made in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's national public secretary. Abdullahi described the move as a calculated attempt by elements within the APC to create confusion within the ADC and weaken viable opposition platforms in Nigeria.

He accused Bola Tinubu's administration of orchestrating this plot to ensure that he emerges unopposed in the 2027 elections. Abdullahi emphasized that there is no legal basis for the leadership confusion and reaffirmed the ADC's commitment to resist any anti-democratic forces.

The ADC plans to employ every legitimate means to counter this alleged plot, which they believe threatens the competitive nature of democracy in Nigeria. Senator David Mark is mentioned as part of the ADC's leadership structure.
