ADC Chieftain Urges South-East to Support Adada State Creation for Equity and Development

Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent figure in the African Democrat Congress (ADC) and a renowned Nollywood actor, advocates for the South-East to unite behind the push for the creation of Adada state. In an interview, Okonkwo emphasized the need for the region to harmonize and demand the establishment of Adada state, with its proposed capital in Nsukka, as a suitable choice.

He argues that the South-East deserves a sixth state to bring parity with other geopolitical zones in the country, promoting equity and balanced development across Nigeria. Okonkwo's statements come amidst renewed agitation for state creation in the South-East, with stakeholders in the Enugu North Senatorial District pushing for the recognition of Adada state.

This move aligns with previous proposals in the National Assembly for new states, including Adada, Aba, and Orashi.
