ADC Calls for INEC Compliance with Court Ruling

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) demanded that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) comply with a Court of Appeal ruling during a meeting at INEC headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday. Dr.

Abimiku Mondai, the Assistant Strategic Communications Director of the ADC, and Hon. Nafiu Balagum, the party's national chairman, emphasized the importance of adhering to legal procedures.

They highlighted that the party had previously communicated its concerns through its legal team on March 15 and 27, insisting that INEC must maintain the status quo and refrain from actions that could undermine the authority of the court. Moham Hamma, the Assistant Director of Security at INEC, assured the ADC delegation that the chairman would receive their submissions upon his return.

However, Balasadi, the Chief of Staff to the ADC national chairman, raised concerns about the timeline for the upcoming elections, indicating that INEC's schedule left little room for delays. The ADC reiterated its demand for INEC to uphold the Court of Appeal's judgment.
