ADC Affirms David Mark's Leadership Amid Court Ruling

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement clarifying that a recent judgment from the Appeal Court does not impact the party's current leadership, which is headed by National Chairman David Mark. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's National Public Secretary, made this clarification following a ruling that was misinterpreted regarding the party's leadership structure.

The ADC emphasized that the ongoing suit challenging Mark's position, filed by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is still pending in the Federal High Court and has yet to be decided on its merits. The Appeal Court did not grant any relief in favor of the plaintiff nor issue any orders that would affect the party's leadership structure.

The ADC urged its members not to misinterpret the court's ruling, reaffirming its commitment to unity and focus despite what it described as anti-democratic forces attempting to impose their will on the party's rules in Nigeria.
