Court Affirms David Mark's Leadership in ADC

The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Joyc Abdulmalik, affirmed the leadership of David Mark as the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) by dismissing a suit filed by Dumebi Kachikwu and four other challengers. The court ruled that the matter raised in the suit related to internal leadership and membership issues of the party, which it deemed non-justiciable, thereby declining jurisdiction.

The ADC's national public secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, welcomed the judgment, urging Nigerians to participate in the ongoing registration drive. He emphasized the party's commitment to resisting attempts to destabilize its internal processes and called on the judiciary to remain apolitical to safeguard democracy.

Abdullahi noted that the ADC aims to provide a credible alternative to restore hope in Nigeria's democratic system, especially as the country approaches the 2027 elections.
