ADC Confident Despite Governors' Defections to APC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed confidence in its position despite the recent defections of governors to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Dr.

Ibrahim Ahm Mani, a party official, stated in an interview that the ADC is focused on mobilizing support and ensuring that the APC is dislodged from power in Niger State by the 2027 elections. He highlighted that many residents are eager to register with the ADC, reflecting a growing discontent with the APC's governance, which has been characterized by incompetence, insecurity, and hardship.

Mani noted that the ADC aims to provide an alternative platform for voters, emphasizing the constitutional right of Nigerians to elect their leaders without imposition from governors. The ADC is actively working to increase its membership and influence in preparation for the upcoming elections, aiming to capitalize on the dissatisfaction with the current administration led by Governor Moham Umaru Bago.
