ADC Confident of Strong Election Performance Amid Challenges

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the leadership of Bolaji Abdullahi, has vowed to perform strongly in the upcoming elections despite facing significant challenges, including rising poverty levels, which have reportedly increased to 63 percent due to the economic policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Abdullahi highlighted that many people are growing confident in the ADC, as evidenced by recent defections, including that of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe from the Progress Grand Alliance (APGA).

He criticized the perceived hypocrisy in political defections, particularly regarding the APC's acceptance of members from other parties. Abdullahi also addressed the internal structure of the ADC, stating that the party is ready to manage electoral challenges and welcomes new members into its coalition.

He emphasized that the ADC is prepared to present a formidable opposition to the ruling APC and is currently determining the geographical distribution of its electoral ticket.
