ADC pledges unity of Atiku, Obi, Amaechi ahead of 2027 elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has pledged unity among prominent political figures Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi ahead of the 2027 elections, aiming to transform the country regardless of who emerges as the party's presidential candidate. ADC's Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Jackie Wayas, confirmed this commitment in an interview, stating that the party is still deciding whether to zone the presidential ticket or adopt an open primary system.

The final decision will be made through internal negotiations and guidelines set by the National Executive Committee (NEC) during the national convention. Wayas emphasized that the primary focus of ADC is rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges and prioritizing the nation's interests over personal ambitions.

The unity pact among Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi is rooted in a shared commitment to rebuilding Nigeria, with the party working on drafting a governance blueprint that includes measurable pledges on issues such as the economy, electoral reform, and security.
