Atiku Abubakar Dismisses Lawal's Allegations as Baseless

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), countered allegations made by Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), regarding irregularities in the ADC presidential primary. In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described Lawal's claims as baseless and motivated by disappointment over the primary election's outcome.

Shaibu criticized Lawal for making serious allegations without providing any supporting evidence, stating that Lawal failed to produce any verifiable documentation during a recent television interview. He argued that Lawal's accusations were speculative and lacked concrete facts.

Additionally, Shaibu noted that Lawal's criticisms stemmed from his support for a rival candidate in the primary. The statement concluded by asserting that Lawal's claims were implausible and disrespectful to the democratic process within the party.
