ADC Updates Primary Elections Timetable for 2027 Polls

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced an updated timetable for its primary elections in preparation for the 2027 polls, with a statement jointly signed by the party's national organizing secretary and national public secretary. The deadline for submitting nomination forms has been adjusted to May 14, 2026, from the previously announced May 13, 2026.

Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 14 and 15, 2026, while the elections will take place on May 16 and 17, 2026. The ADC's state chairmen forum warned that aspirants expressing interest in nomination forms from a faction led by Senator David Mark risk disqualification due to a violation of an Abuja High Court order issued on April 29, 2026.
