ADC slams PDP govs for holding political meeting in Zamfara amid killings

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly condemned the governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for holding a political meeting in Zamfara State amidst ongoing killings in the region. Following a deadly bandit attack that resulted in numerous casualties, including 24 deaths, 16 injuries, and 144 kidnappings across various local government areas, the PDP governors convened in the state on Saturday, August 23.

The ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, criticized the meeting as insensitive to the victims of the violence, accusing the governors of displaying a lack of concern for those affected by the tragic events in Zamfara. The ADC's statement underscores the need for political leaders to prioritize the safety and well-being of their constituents over political gatherings.
