ADC Criticizes Tinubu Over Economic Hardship Claims

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Tuesday, criticizing President Bola Tinubu for his remarks about economic hardship in Nigeria. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC spokesperson, accused Tinubu of lacking vision and leading the country backward during a period when millions of Nigerians are grappling with economic difficulties, insecurity, and rising poverty.

The ADC highlighted that nearly 35 million Nigerians are projected to face acute food insecurity by 2026, attributing this crisis to the government's failure to manage inflation and food security effectively. The ADC also dismissed Tinubu's claim of securing 10,999,162 votes during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries as unbelievable and a potential setup for rigging the upcoming 2027 elections.

The party emphasized that Nigerians are no longer interested in political grandstanding and seek straightforward answers to pressing issues such as food affordability and safety in their communities. The ADC's statement reflects a broader concern about the current administration's economic policies and their impact on ordinary citizens.
