ADC Suspends Chairman, Crisis Deepens in Adamawa State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State is experiencing a significant crisis following the suspension of State Chairman Rt Hon (Barr.) Ibrahim Dasin by the party’s Disciplinary Committee, led by Mark Dauda. Dasin was suspended over allegations of anti-party activities, including failing to attend meetings and refusing to account for party finances.

Dauda stated that multiple invitations were sent to Dasin to defend himself, which he ignored. In the wake of his suspension, the party's state congress appointed Alhaji Sa’idu Naira as the Acting State Chairman.

Naira criticized Dasin's leadership for causing disarray within the party, leading to the departure of key leaders such as Senators Bindow, Binani, and Abbo. Naira also mentioned that the party is working to restore unity and has seen interest from over 7,000 groups and individuals wanting to join ADC.

Regarding the governorship ticket dispute, Naira confirmed the party's neutrality, stating that they will abide by the court's decision on the candidate.
