ADC Suspends State Chairman

The ADC has suspended its State Chairman following a complaint about his leadership style, which was alleged to violate party rules. The decision to suspend the chairman came after a petition from a party member accused him of acting unilaterally, mismanaging party resources, and ignoring party principles.

The suspension was announced during a harmonization meeting at the Nobik International Event Centre in Aba, aimed at settling disputes and aligning leadership positions to strengthen the party's presence across the state. The Interim Chairman, Mazi Okoroafor Kanu, stated that the suspension was due to repeated concerns about the chairman's conduct, including the alleged sale of a party vehicle and holding unilateral meetings without consulting the party executive committee.

A disciplinary committee has been set up to investigate the allegations, with several prominent party figures in attendance at the meeting. The ADC leadership emphasized that the suspension was a step towards restoring proper governance within the state chapter and ensuring the party's growth and stability.
