ADC Addresses Fake Registrations on Membership Platform

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), through its spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi, is taking measures to address anomalies in its digital membership registration platform. This follows widespread reports of fake entries, including names of notable figures such as President Bola Tinubu and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Abdullahi confirmed that the party is monitoring online activities related to the platform's launch and has noted that despite assurances, issues persist, including the ability to download membership cards with unverifiable details. The portal has been criticized for allowing registrations without proper verification, including the use of incorrect national identification numbers.

Additionally, the ADC has introduced a live photo capture feature to enhance the registration process, but concerns remain about potential manipulation. Abdullahi expressed hope that the technical team would address these issues effectively.
