ADC Unveils 28 Governorship Candidates for 2027 Election Push

Across 28 states, the African Democratic Congress unveiled candidates for both governorship and deputy governorship positions in the 2027 general elections. On Friday, National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi disclosed this selection through an official statement, highlighting nominees with roots in varied political and professional spheres.

The roster encompasses several personalities known at the national level. Lagos State will see Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as the party's standard-bearer, while Kebbi State receives former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami as its nominee.

Delta State's previous gubernatorial hopeful Great Ogboru also appears on the list, alongside Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita fielded in Katsina State and Isa Ashiru, who previously sought the Kaduna State governorship, among those publicly identified. According to ADC messaging, these candidates embody dedication toward delivering credible leadership to the Nigerian populace.

The party positioned its 2027 electoral strategy as a means to broaden organizational reach throughout Nigeria's geopolitical landscape while positioning itself as a substantive counterweight to established political movements.
