NDC Claims Governorship Candidates in All 28 States for 2027

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) declared its readiness for the 2027 general elections, asserting that it has nominated governorship candidates in all 28 states where elections are scheduled. This statement was made by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, who expressed shock at social media reports claiming the NDC lacked candidates in 12 states, labeling these reports as false and malicious propaganda.

The NDC emphasized its national presence, stating it is not a regional party but a national movement with structures and supporters across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). To counter misinformation, the party released the names of 12 candidates, including Senator Kabiru Marafa for Zamfara and Rear Admiral Ibrahim Sanusi Kasim for Borno.

The NDC urged media professionals to verify information before publication to maintain public trust in the media and democracy. The party aims to position itself as a viable alternative to the current political order, asserting that Nigerians are seeking change from the established political landscape.
