ADC Launches Power-Sharing Plan for 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has introduced a power-sharing plan designed to unify Nigeria's opposition as the country approaches the 2027 presidential elections. Salihu, a key figure in the ADC, emphasized that the framework aims to foster collective leadership rather than individual dominance, especially in light of increasing political competition among notable opposition figures such as Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar, and Rotimi Amaechi.

Despite suggestions of growing tensions within the opposition, Salihu reassured that the model is intended to keep all aspirants engaged, regardless of the outcomes of the primaries. He expressed confidence in the commitment of key figures to the process and noted that the ADC has already developed a governance blueprint anchored in its manifesto, which was adopted at the last convention.

Salihu also mentioned that the party is working to ensure a credible public acceptance of the process while addressing criticisms regarding internal discipline and structural integrity.
