Adebutu Challenges Adeola to Legal Battle Over Ancestry Claims

Oladipupo Adebutu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State, publicly challenged Solomon Adeola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, to sue him regarding claims about Adeola's ancestry. This challenge was made during a PDP campaign rally in Odogbolu Local Government Area on Wednesday.

Adeola had previously threatened legal action against PDP member Folake Marcus-Bello and suspended APC member Abayomi Hunye, demanding evidence for their claims that he is an indigene of Ekiti State. Adeola asserted that he is a bona fide indigene of Ogun State, citing his family background.

Adebutu expressed readiness to face Adeola in court, claiming to possess documents supporting his assertions. Additionally, Adebutu alleged that the APC-led government obstructed PDP campaign efforts, including the removal of campaign posters and preventing a planned rally in Idowa.

He also reported that his campaign convoy was shot at, a claim disputed by the APC, which called for an investigation into the incident.
