Olajengbesi Critiques Oyebamiji for Missing Peace Accord

Pelumi Olajengbesi, a lawyer and spokesman for the Imole Campaign Council, criticized Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Osun State, for not attending the Peace Accord meeting on August 15, ahead of the gubernatorial election. Olajengbesi stated that Oyebamiji's absence demonstrated a disregard for the people of Osun State and the democratic process, especially since the meeting date was communicated months prior.

He noted that while Kola Olabisi attended on Oyebamiji's behalf and Kayode Adereti arrived after the main proceedings, the APC candidate should have been present. Olajengbesi emphasized that attendance at such an important event should not be delegated, and the absence raised concerns about the APC's commitment to peaceful democratic engagement.

He asserted that the people of Osun are committed to the state's Omoluabi values and would reject intimidation and violence at the polls, expressing confidence in the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
