Adeleke Vows Osun People Will Resist ‘Electoral Robbers’ In 2026

Osun State Governor, Adeleke, has vowed that the people of Osun will resist "electoral robbers" in the 2026 governor election. In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke emphasized the importance of vigilance and mass participation to prevent electoral malpractice.

He urged Osun indigenes, especially those residing outside the state, to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and ensure they have their Permanent Voter Cards. Adeleke stressed that beyond registering, citizens must also ensure they vote and protect their votes during elections.

He called for active civic involvement to sustain the state's development and emphasized the need for community leaders to mobilize people for voter registration. Adeleke expressed confidence in the electoral process and assured the people that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would conduct a credible and seamless exercise in the interest of democracy.
